I always think that a simple layout is often the best - often using standard layouts can be good as most people are familiar with using them. There are some very advanced sites around these days although many are confusing to use. I believe that customers want a site that is visually consistent with their company's logo and one that also conveys, from the outset, the purpose of their company but at the same time doesn't baffle the visitor into wandering off elsewhere.

Online Shops

An online shop can be run online for £60 per month (including all of the security necessary to insure safe trading). I can set up a site for you which will allow you to keep track of your customers, recommend items to them based on what they've already bought, provide reviews, categorise products and offer discounts very easily. Please click here to contact me if this is something you'd be interested in. I typically charge £650 to set up the site to your requirements as an addition to one of the packaged websites above. The setup charge for adding online shopping facility to an existing site (at the same monthly rate) is negotiable.

:: Hosting ::

I can look after your website and 'host it' (ie make it live without any technical know-how from you) for £120 per year with the first 3 months free. Alternatively I can use any internet web site accounts you provide once I've been given the necessary account details. You would then, however, be responsible for the site's reliability. This hosting charge would be the same for all site packages.

I can create and manage any kind of website for you whether it be from a simple online brochure to a large dynamic site with features such as databases, discussion groups, mail forms, JavaScript effects or streaming audio.

Please note that all price guidelines are based on websites having 'standard' requirements and reasonably sized pages. More bespoke sites may by more costly although I'm more than willing to discuss your requirements on the phone or by email.
