The Man That Can

Rates

:: Website Design Rates :: (Static site with little or no flash work)

Fixed Cost (without subsequent free support)

  • £150 per page (site with 1-2 pages)
  • £100 per page over 2 pages
  •  £80 per page over 10 pages
  •  £60 per page over 15 pages
  •  £20 for name registering (per year)

So a site with 2 pages would be £300 (£150*2), a site with 3 would be £400 (£150*2 + £100) or a site with 5 would be £500 (£150*2 + £100*2). The cost of a dynamic site is negotiable as they require more work than a similarly structured static site.

Monthly Rate

I will happily design and maintain your website on a fixed monthly rate to include any updates or changes you require

Flash design rates quoted on a per-project basis.

:: E-commerce websites ::

Price subject to your needs

A well tested and mature system which includes reports, gift vouchers, special offers, newsletters, product options (for example the ability to choose the colour or size of an item), automated customer emails, stock control and invoicing.

I will provide a secure server, secure certificate and tuition on the system and will help you enter your first few products with guidance.

:: Development Rates ::

(including database work)

  • Quoted once site requirements have been discussed. I can provide anything from a simple site (for example where customers can add themselves to a database or mailing list) to a larger scale site with user registration, searches, e-commerce etc. I am also used to working on projects within small groups.

Skills

  •  Design work in Fireworks and Photoshop, site work in Dreamweaver
  •  Database design with either Access, SQL server 7/2000 or MySQL
  •  Programming work in either ASP or PHP

How I work

1.   I will meet up with you in person (in and around London) or speak with you on the phone about the kind of site you are looking for. If you can suggest another website which captures the look you want, it will be easier to get an idea of what you require. Any logos you have can naturally be included into the design of the site.

2.   Subject to you agreeing to go ahead with the site and providing me with some content, I will discuss the approximate format of design you are looking for. We can then both work with that design until you are completely happy with it.

3.  I will finish the site and make it 'live'. Full statistics, basic search engine submission and e-mail accounts (for use with software such as Microsoft Outlook or through a web browser) are included free of charge.

Payment will be required in 2 equal instalments - one half after agreement to go ahead with the site and the balance once the site has been made live. Hosting will be based on the size of the size of the site and is to be paid at the start of each year. You are welcome to move to another company if you like but hopefully you'll be happy with the hosting reliability and support I provide.

Website Maintenance

:: Ad-hoc ::

If you don't have a set timescale or agenda for your web site updates (only doing it only when it occurs to you), I can do ad-hoc updates to your site from £20 (if I host the site) or £25 (if I don't).
The exact price depends on the size and nature of the change.

:: Urgent site fixes ::

If anything disastrous happens to your site or maybe you have some changes you are waiting to make and just want them out of the way - let me know and I'll give you a quote there and then. I'm happy to work on sites developed by others as long as there are no contractual issues with whoever is currently responsible for (or was most recently responsible for) your site, and you are able to grant me the necessary access to the site files. Little jobs like these can normally be carried out in a few days.

:: Monthly Maintenance Time ::

A monthly or quarterly budget is agreed to cover maintenance time - including editing or creating new pages, uploading new files, graphics, amending layout, etc. and dealing with telephone and email enquiries related to the site. Then you can increase the quota if it proves to be not enough, or reduce the number of updates needed, or defer some changes to the following month if budget is tight.

I am very flexible on pricing for larger sites and will be happy to negotiate rates.
